TYPES OF CONCRETE - Cantilever Concrete
Stegmeier Corp. has developed a disposable foam form that allows concrete wall caps to be cast in place, creating cantilevered edges that look great but won't bust the budget. Using these forms give the concrete around the pool a great look that is similar to a pool made with traditional coping stones.  The process is simple, the forms are attach to the tile line on fiberglass pools and secured with double face tape and tie wires. Set up time is minimal (usually the morning of the pour). Tie wires are positioned approximately 14" apart and are designed to break away at a pre determined point 2" deep into the concrete edge. Once the concrete has set up, the forms are removed and the edge is smoothed down leaving the finished cantilevered edge.
